Straterra and Food Cravings | ADHD Information

  Not to get too personal but...have you ever considered that you might be pregnant? Just an idea?  I was on Strattera for 6 weeks and my appetite didn't change. I did get every other side effect known to man but the appetite/cravings was in check.No....I am not pregnant. It is just weird..I notice it kicks in about 4 hours after my pill. It is so weird....I HAVE to have something sweet..I feel like I could hurt someone that stands in my way. Maybe it is just my body adjusting to the medication. I guess I am the only weird one who experiences this!   Well, it usually takes your body 4-6 weeks to adjust to Strattera.  It took almost that long for mine to. As far as what it did to my mood, I understand where your coming from..It made me very tempermental, and I didn't like it and I got off it.  Some meds may increase your appetite, but this is normal (Especially for a non-stimulant like Strattera).  The concerta (27Mg) that I take decreases my appeptite and gives me a slight lift, but there have been no other side effects whatsoever..Concerta is for me.

Hello fellow ADDers! I am an 25 year old female and newly diagnosed with ADD. I am on my second week of Straterra. Before the Straterra I was very health concious. Now ALL I want is sweets...cake, ice cream....stuff I would never eat before.  I am prettty certain it is not hormones. Has anyone experienced weird cravings on Straterra? I also experience increased HR about 2 hours after taking my pill. It is pretty scary. Will this go away?
