My doctor recently placed me on Abilify. Those with bi-polar disorder use it, but it is sometimes prescribed for us ADD'ers.
It makes me incredibly sleepy, but seems to help prolong the effects of Adderall. Does anyone have any experience with this drug?

my son was on it for bipolar... we didn't see any weight gain like we did with risperdal...but we did noticed he was more whiney he would cry alot...i felt it didn't help as much as the risperdal....I agree... I have much more energy on Risperdal.I took Abilify for bipolar disorder, and during the 6 months I was on it I gained 30 lbs. I couldn't keep up on a bike ride with my 50 year old aunt (I'm an active 25 year old). It did help, but then there is the cost/ benefit ratio... for me it was not worth the sacrifice of my quality of life.
