Narcolepsy | ADHD Information

Does anyone else have narcolepsy with ADD?  It seems the symptoms are similar.  I was tested for both and am taking medications for both.  I have lots of dreams I remember.  Sleep walk.  Sleep paralysis sometimes.  Tired in the day time.  Hard to pay attention to things.

I haven't been tested but am sure that I have adule adhd.  I can fall asleep any where, anytime, sitting up, laying down....etc.   I get tired during the days somethimes but not to often.  I do day dream lots and am very scattery at the best of times.I'm not sure if I have narcolepsy, as I'm still in the process of getting tested for ADHD. But I've often thought that maybe I could have, because like you said the symptoms are similiar. Also, M.E is supposed to have similiar characteristics as ADHD. But If I start looking at those as well, then I'll just get even more confused, so It's best just to stick to the one diagnosis and treat that. The treatments seem to be similair anyhow.I didn't experience narcolepsy until I started taking Strattera.  Now, I go through periods where, if I sit down for more than twenty or thirty minutes, I'll start blacking out.  It's tough to read books when you keep finding your head resting on them.
