This may be a silly question, but has anyone ever tried hypnotherapy or subliminal cd's?
I have never tried either one {or two} and don't thinkI was going through my divorce and a friend recommended hypnotherapy. I tried it and it helped me a lot! I went to my first session and I was finally able to relax. I felt hungry for the first time in over a year. I know I was going through a depression and it helped me through it.
I use a book that my therapist gave me that tells you how to do self hypnosis. Hypnosis can be really useful. You are reprogramming your subconscience. If all your life you have been told that you will not succeed, you are stupid, etc., your subconscience is programmed that way. If you reprogram your subconscience to believe what your conscious self wants to do, (quit smoking, loose weight, eat healthy) you can put your subconscious to work for you.
Think about when you learn to play the piano by heart. Or when you ride a bike. Your subconscience is the work horse that takes over and keeps you going. If you stop to think consiously about the process, you might make a mistake, or fall off your bike. Anyway, I really love hypnotherapy. I don't use it enough.
I felt that after my first session I had relaxed for the first time in years!
Also, I have a nervous habit of twisting my hair. It really gets out of hand sometimes. When I'm nervous, I twist my hair. I have to pull it back or cut it short to stop myself from doing it. After my first session I didn't twist my hair for two weeks! I was amazed. The hypnotherapist didn't even know I had that habit, which to me was proof that this kind of therapy is legitimate. It is too bad that the hypnosis programs that show people doing funny things keep people from seriously studying it and trying it out.

I was thinking of doing Hypnotherapy & Cds to help w/the Procrastination so I was curious if anyone else had looked into it...I know of one company that sells CDs, INNERTALK is the name(www.innertalk.com), They have success Cds, stop procrastinating, etc. You may want to look into it...
