Rehersing convos (take 2) | ADHD Information
One of those types of people BB? Are you referring to people like me who talk to themselves and even, gasp!, answer themselves?
I just tell people its one way to have a conversation about something that interests me and is not over my head intellectually!
Actually, I usually am rehearsing a conversation I plan to have, or have had and didn't like my side of it, or am reminding myself to not forget something important! (like my name
)
Constantly!LOL Barb, I guess I officially AM one of those types of people.

Sure, I may rehearse a conversation, but when I'm actually faced with whomever it was to be with...I don't remember one thing I had rehearsed! My memory just doesn't work that way. So now I don't even bother...what's the use?
And when I do rehearse (albeit just a waste of my time

)I don't do it outloud...I go over conversations that I have had or that I wish I could have...all in my head, rather than out loud.
I rehearse, too.And also have have
these clips in my head of conversations I might have that haven't
happened yet..........mostly its in my head, but sometimes out loud,
example:: Washing dishes at the sink, a conversation going on in my
head, and I might say "Really?" or something out loud, not
realising was going to actually say it until I said it...............
Aye Yae Yae...I actually caught myself doing this today. I was having a
conversation with an imagined scenario...so I guess I AM doing this.

I rehearse, too.And also have have these clips in my head of conversations I might have that haven't happened yet..........mostly its in my head, but sometimes out loud, example:: Washing dishes at the sink, a conversation going on in my head, and I might say "Really?" or something out loud, not realising was going to actually say it until I said it...............Conversations? I even rehearse restaurant orders. Facing the vast matrix of possible choices that makes a meal is not an "on the fly" kind of improvisation. I can't even go through customs without failing to coherently and innocently answer the simple security questions, even if I'm NOT up to anything.Last one messed up though to me not playing attention, lol.
DO you reherse conversations in you head that you may or may not plan
to have in the future, i do alot, in a daydreaming type manner.
Actually, I go over conversations I had (especially if they were emotional) and end up doing it in the car out loud sometimes and then fear that I'll become one of those types of people.
bluebird3838599.5506944444When I read the topic title, I thought it said
"Do You Reverse Consonants?"
Nell, Ho, I dot'n!
No why?
Hey, that's not quite like
Know why?
B/c my mind jumps to conclusions. 2me, reherse looks more like reverse,
and by the time I jumped to that conclusion the only thing I reverse
besides my truck is my words (oh, and checkbook), and as convos was
forced into coherency by my brain as conso (a heretofore unkown variant
of consonant), b/c I've never heard it referred to as convos, rather
comms, so, I jumped (rather my brain did: "I" don't err...) to the
conclusion that the topic was "Do You Reverse Consonants..."
But I do reherse convos...
One of my PhoBiases is saying things wrongly to an Important Person,
like a client or boss... or my dalk... I'm already dead from saying
wrong things to that most Important of Persons in my life: the wife...
I just rehearsed this conversation in reverse and realized there was a second component to the Q.
Yes, most definitely I research convos in the past. It's b/c I'm snot
as good at reposte in an argument, so I'll go over what was said until
I can think of something that will earn me the last word, (i.e.
competetively WIN), and go back to rehearse the conversation with the
perpetrator, and then at the end have my irreversible say.
