This checklist is from Kathleen Nadeau. It's for the opposite of ADD.

Spontoneity Deficit Disorder

1. I find that sorting socks is a deeply satisfying activity.

2. It's hard for me to think of new ideas, but I'm good at doing what I'm told.

3. I plan what I do, and I do what I plan.

4. I know how to spell spontaneity, but I'm not sure what it means.

5. As a child, I colored inside the lines.

6. I consider being called a linear thinker a compliment.

7. I'm good at filling out forms.

8. Checking items off my to-do list gives me a great feeling of accomplishment.

9. Unexpected events make me feel uncomfortable.

10. I keep all my ducks in a row.

If you answered yes to 5 or more items, you should seek an evaluation for spontaneity deficit disorder.

Above all, don't despair.  There is value in being neat, orderly, and predictable.  By working with a career counselor who specializes in treating spontaneity deficit disorder, you will be able to find an appropriate job or career path in which details and paperwork production are emphasized.

So what do you think the reaction would be out of our 'normal friends' if we sent this out to friends, family, and co-workers?

what if i answer 'yes' to zero or less?     If someone in this world needed meds ,   I wonder what might be "prescribed" for them to take, or do ya' think homeo(grown)pathic remedies might work?

Do ADDers colour out side the lines? Hmm, I hate colouring outside the lines.

And I do like my ducks in a row, people give me such a weird look when I say i do like to have things in my room perfect and that I like things ordily, it just dont happen. *looks at room* has NEVER happened.

Hmm i just realised what a random post I'm writing, oh well, I'll click post anyhow. hehehe

Then that means you have Attention Deficit Disorder!  It threw me too.  But once it dawned on me, I thought it was really clever.  :)

so do i, but it is almost impossible to say within them.

I find that having things organized is how I work most effectively but it's so rarely done!

Dr Ed Hallowell talks about this fact in Delivered from Distraction.
