	is this normal for a psych? i took my son to a new psych two weeks ago,she seemed ok. wanted to lower his concerta from 54 to 36.so he had alot of school problems last week,i asked the teacher to write down what she saw josh doing at school.i took that letter to the psych yesterday she reads it and says what should we do now?and what meds should we give him. i was like i don't know i'm not a dr. so i was telling her i feel josh is odd also just because of things he does and how he argues with me,i dread mornings.recently he started peeing in his room and the restroom is right across from his room and he pees in boxes,on my clothes in the closet,i told her this and she asked was it intentional?i don't know.ask josh why he does this,i don't know he says. so she tells him josh if you don't behave i can have you put into a hospital that is dark,you can't see your mom,no tv,and all you do is clean and work,i'm sorry i did'nt think that this is something you tell a 6 yr old.do you guys think this was right,i am thinking of taking him somewhere else. No psychiatrist should EVER tell ANY child something that scary and threatening. I'd find another doctor. I would definitely report this quack. She's lucky she wasn't dealing with me because I would have given her a taste of her own medicine. By the way, do all children need to go to a psych as well as a pediatrician that is working with the school and family or is it something extra for additional severe symptoms? Jeez. What a professional, huh? Expecting you to be the doctor. I'd find another one who doesn't ask you what to do! As for the threat, this woman is sadistic. I'd report her.psm090438602.5323263889 It doesn't matter where the psych is from. She should know you don't treat a 6 yr old with scary threats! Run away fast!!! New doctor, for sure!!! Your state should have some kind of administration you could call or write to for reporting that kind of behavior. You can also check with the clinic she is associated with - there must be some kind of system for complaints and such. In my opinion, she should NOT be working with kids!!!! Even if she's having a bad day, she needs to maintain whatever professionalism she may have had (all credibility would be totally shot if it were my child's doctor!) Good Luck!! this woman is from russia so maybe that is how the childhood is there,i just as soon as i heard her say that i thought gees thats wrong to say that to a 6 yr old,i don't know how and where to report someone.i'd like to though. i feel so bad,i keep trying to get a dr who will help my son and it seems like that is impossible.i'd like to get him straightened out before too much school goes by and he is acting up. Get your son away from this woman as fast as you can, find another dr and report her. Also, didn't want to say this on the thread "eating correctly is key. Please read" but I wouldn't think many folks would want to get psychiatric help from someone who is acute bipolar himself, would you? well be sure i won't be taking him back there,i thought as soon as she said that to josh,wait he's a 6 year old child.its been such a headache i was on the phone all day today and i can't find any psych. that works with kids,and if you do find on they won't take medicaid.so i keep trying. i pray i will find a winner soon. i don't want for josh to have a bad childhood and say when he gets older if you would have found a dr for me i could have suceeded in school and had a nice childhood. ps NO ONE THINK OF MOVING TO INDIANA ------THE DRS HERE SUCK REALLY BAD AND THERES NOT ALOT TO CHOSE FROM!!! thanks again to all that responded.
