Concerta & VERY poor appetite

I have a 4 year old on Concerta - very severe ADHD - really can't function as a normal kids without it - The meds work really well for the ADHD symptoms with no side effects other than a very poor appetite. Some days she hardly eats at all! She does take a multi vitamin and i try to get as much into her before the meds in the am and then just offer anything throughout the day. Just wondering if anyone has any tricks or specific foods that are very high calorie or anything that acts as an appetitie booster - any ideas would be appreciated! I would really hate to take her off of the Concerta since it is working so well (other than her eating). My son is on strattera we go through the same thing, some days he eats other days he doesn't, or he picks...It's very frustrating i know but i try to fix the foods he likes and he'll eat it everyday it seems, Good luck.... my son is on only 18mg staterra after being off for the summer and low lexapro for anxiety and he's already lost weight and its hard to get him to eat.    he's also complaining about stomach aches- i'm not sure if its anxiety or a side effect of straterra.  has anyone's child had stomachaches from straterra?  i refuse to put him on a stimulant adhd med (like adderol or concerta).  he was on adderal briefly last year and had horrible side effectsmy son is on 20mg of Ritalin and already complaining about stomachaches also after being med free for the summer. I live in Canada and my drug plan only covers Ritalin or Dexedrine. So I am wondering if this is just his body getting used to the Ritalin myself. Does anyone know?my daughter was first on Ritalin and was recently switched to Concerta (Ritalin - different delivery method). Her appetite was low on the Ritalin, but is lower on the Concerta. Her body never seemed to "loose" that side effect! I think that some people do get over the low appetite. My son should be on, (according to his weight) 27mg of concerta, however, we lowered it to 18mgs (his request) and this has helped with his appetite.  I do not believe that he eats lunch at school, (I've requested that he eat just one item, even if it is just to drink the milk or just the cookie).... when he comes home from school he is not hungry at the dinner hour, however, I often find that by 8:00 p.m.ish he is hungry and I'll let him eat at that time.  This has helped keep his weight regulated.
