Rebound effect from Concerta

Hi, my Tiffany is also on Concerta but the 27mg and can have terrible rebounds.  Read the posting I started entitled "What a bad week...."  It can be found on page 5 with a Sept 2nd date.  Read it and see if anything there helps.

I'm new and was wondering if anyone's child is experiencing a rebound effect from Concerta when it is wearing off. 

He is 13 years old, 80 pounds, and very hyper.  Currently he is on 18 mg of Concerta which he started about 3 weeks ago. The Concerta seems to be working well during the school day.  He is eating and sleeping well and seems to be ok when it is actively working during the day.  In the evening though when he's coming off of it, my household turns into a complete nuthouse! His hyperactivity increases with a real punch! Last night he was impossible to deal with. He was cursing at me, back talking, making very inappropriate sexual inuendos at the dinner table, giving me the finger, and acting like he was going to hit me. 

Should I increase the dosage, or maybe add another medication to it in the evening so we can get through until bedtime?
