Last week Wedensday, I took the IVA computer test and went to a counselour and told her about my symptoms. Both my visual and auditory attention are extremelyimpaired according to the test.  and my hyperactivity was acting right there and was observed by her. IT tested out on the test to be extremely hyper for a 26 year old. And she said that I do have ADHD, no doubt. Im being put on meds the 19th by my psychiatrist for it. That test was so boring and I never want to take it again!!! LMAO!! She said I won't have to take it again, BUT not for awhile until after I'm on meds. (uuuuuugggghh!!!) They say 1 and 2 and flash it on the screen for that as well and you have to pick one and it measures hyperactivity and impulsiveness. (PLenty of that!) OUt to lunch with that one after 4 or 5 minutes and having to sit for 15 minutes was like an eternity. I got bored and started changing the mouse like a remote control, spinning, the whole bit. I get like this at my desk job too. I think it was the worst test in history. But at least its over and it confirmed it, but unfortunately, WE WILL MEET AGAIN in the future. Sorry about this not being longer but brain is'nt working right toasy.I've never heard of such a test--especially for adults.  My Psych just handed me the child's part of Dr. Amen's ADHD Self-Diagnostic straight off the internet & asked my husband & I to complete it.  So  I copied the Adult part ("Are you easily distracted during lovemaking to the point it becomes a turn-off for your spouse/partner"--Totally!) & filled it out myself & am handing it straight to the Psych next visit.  The questions seemed totally more appropriate & right on to me ("Do you have intimacy issues/Avoid intimacy at all costs?")  Anyway, someone on this board referred me to it.  It seems decent to me & you can find it by plugging in Dr.Amen & ADHD Test.  Buona fortuna!
