My kids did something cute today

This is not ADHD related (except that they are compassionate - a common trait of ADHDers)

This afternoon while the kids were at school my 2 year old took an orange marker and wrote all over the bathroom wall and mirror.  It was a big mess.  I saw it and knew that I could clean it right up with my Magic Eraser- no biggie.  Well, I got sidetracked folding laundry... I totally forgot about it (I am ADD too you know.)

The 2 big kids got home at 3:30 and went to have their snack, put their books away, use the bathroom... Well about 15 minutes after they got home I went to use the bathroom- I had completely forgotten about the marker.  Well I went in there and it smelled like cleaning solution and then I remembered the marker- but the wall and mirror were spotless!  I went into the kitchen and said "What did you guys do in the bathroom?"

They both sat there totally silent- they looked like they thought they were in trouble.  I thought they would be proud to tell me they cleaned up the mess- but they weren't talking.  So I finally said, "Did you wash up the mess the baby made?"  Then they happily admitted they cleaned it up.  They thought I hadn't seen it and they were going to keep the baby out of trouble by cleaning it before I saw it.

The best part is they worked together (even if it was to trick me)

Sorry if that is long/boring- I just thought it was sweet.

good for them - that is a sweet story.

That is so sweet. It sounds like something my older 2 would do for their 2 y/o brother. God forbid I yell at him. They can't take that.

I loved your story -- thanks for sharing it!

I hope you gave them lots of hugs and kisses and twice as much desert for that!!!!
