Looking for a good adhd/add book? | ADHD Information

Hi all!

I'm just trying to get the word out about a new forum designed to let posters share with others the names of books, authors, magazines, articles, even websites that have proven to be helpful in dealing with add/adhd...it's listed under the adhd header, which is the second from the top on the message boards homepage.

What a wonderful resource this can be for everyone to see what books, etc have been helpful to others and to have a place to post books, etc that have been helpful to them! I can't wait to see how quickly this gets filled up!

Happy posting!

I'm new to all of this, but I have been reading Taking Charge of ADHD by Dr. Russell Barkley.  It has a very positive approach.p.j i have found books hard to come by in england, but i did find one that is very good and thats called "understanding adhd" by dr christopher green. he wrote the book todler taming and hes a great author of this book. he puts things into simple light hearted terms us simple folk can understand. also he quotes phrases from other parents, teachers etc, so its kinda weird but comforting reading the book as when i was reading it i would say "omg! thats what i say all the time" also has a useful section called "debunking the myths" so when you get these kind well meaning people comming up with possible theories of whats wrong with the child that meds are bad etc, the book can set them right! lol. its a very good book and one i would highly recommend.http://www.adders.org/ a very good website full of useful information and a great forum for airing our troubles and succeses, the people are freindly and will always try and help if they can. they also have an expert dr billy who will personaly answer any medical questions you might want to ask.

Thanks for the posts, Darky! Keep 'em coming!
