actually its a little under 400$ month
not to bad & im more comfortable paying cash
Wouldnt you think it would be psychotic to not take meds if you truly need them. That sucks.....sorry had to vent when I read your post.
---------------i never miss a dose
i think your missing my point i dont want to have it on my record/med/insurance
i own a biz and carry over 10 million in insurance and dont want anything to compromise my coverage
Yeah I got your point....what I am saying is that it sucks that we have to be put in that situation. I mean I am getting diagnosed on Monday and I never thought of it being on a record like that, much less my son will then have it on his record. I was just venting out loud. Sorry! But I really never thought of it being on a record. deleted cos i was jus gettin all political again!chjones38607.8792476852What do you mean? you get tagged as a psyciactric person? That is nuts.....how can one afford meds that cost so much without insurance? Wouldnt you think it would be psychotic to not take meds if you truly need them. That sucks.....sorry had to vent when I read your post.I went to my dr (family medicine) and I got a notice from my ins, company saying that they needed more info from my dr. inorder to process my claim. In the description box it said Physicatric Consultation...I'm hoping they will still pay it (.00), will call both dr. and insurance tommorow. I can't tell you how much I am looking foward to it.I wont use my insurance for anything ADD related
Because I dont wont to be tagged as a pyschiatric person.

Are you sure it won't still be on your records? Most insurance won't cover anything pre-existin for a certain length of time and I'm sure they get info from our medical files to ensure we aren't fudging. What do you say when they ask you on forms if you have ever been treated for a psychiatric problem, or what meds you are currently taking?
Ask your dr what is available to insurance companies and others who have access to your files for legitimate reasons. I hope you are right but I fear you're not. If it is accessible to others anyway, you may as well let insurance cover it.
Insurance policies are also based on a persons medical history. The more you have in it the higher the policy is. Texas law doesn't allow prexisting clauses for groups polocies.Individual is different they can refuse you cause of your history. It's all a scam to me.The company chooses what policy you get anyhow that provides the policy. No choice we have in it. This may not be the same thing, I don't know, but I tried to get life insurance because my policy had lapsed. The insurance company didnt' look at "what health issues I filed on my insurance", they required that my medical records be submitted to them by my doctor. I had been hospitalized for a blood transfusion because of my anemia - they wouldn't cover me because of that. If an insurance company wants to decide how much they will cover you for based on your health history, they will require your doctor to submit your records that he has on you, not just what you submitted to the insurance company.i had that conversation w/ dr.
told him if i am ever asked if recieved pysche help i am going to check NO.
Doc will not revielve any info w/o my consent wont even indicate he knows me . i was very clear at first visit. pay green cash for everything.
btw mt pysche doc knows i will only do as i please and respects that i veto or approve drug changes and like the flexibility
