Not to sure of the cokehead or speed freak thing. Coke is a real fast acting and short duration drug which is partly why the intense cravings are their. The other part is the obvious euphoria that comes shorty after the use. Adderall is not used nearly as much at once and the amphetaines have a longer duration allowing the body to gradually become use to the decay of the drug in the body and are taken at MUCH lower doses. There may be some feeling but i would be willing to bet that it is mostly mental addiciton as apposed to physical addiction and if all adderall users did have "cokehead" withdrawls i think that somebody would have noticed it and put two and two together. It can be quit additicting don't get me wrong I am just saying that theaputic levels of the should not produce major withdrawal, but there is always a few who have adverse effects after taking it along with some other people who have adverse effects when stoping other medicineSo - no medication then. Ok that would be fine since its your opinion. But I can guarentee if your sick - youll take something to make you feel better. and if not. Your loosin out.
But anyway... you say the costs. What costs (besides the viox one) are you talking about. As said... its about opinions, and this being said. I bet i have an opinion against a few costs you put up - even if there is Scientific data. And If i don't have an opinion - someone else will.
So we should all avoid Viagra, aspirin, antidepressants and Adderall? And for the record, I've been on Adderall for about a year and a half and I HAVE stopped and there were no "cokehead or speedfreak" withdrawals.
What do you have against medication?

for lot of drugs doctors and pharmacys don't really understand why they work just that for the most part the doBelieveing in ADHD is a persons view. I really dont know if its real along with the rest of the world. I am diagnosed ADHD but my view is that its the year 2005/modern medicine, and if a drug is improving an aspect in someones life then i feel that it should be taken. The problem is, people are always going to abuse any kind of drug and this is where the bad name of a certain drug comes from. We don't even know how asprin works, but it does. We dont have a cure for the common cold or even know exactly how we were created... God? Evolution? same thing with ADD/ADHD Chemical imbalance? or just different?

Yes, some drugs do improve an "aspect" of your life.... but at what cost ????
Vioxx works... but it has a nasty little side effect of causing heart attacks.
Viagra, Levitra and Cialis work... with a nasty side effect of permanent blindness.
Aspirin works.... but makes your stomach bleed.
SSRI antidepressants certainly make you feel good.... and you won't really remember killing your children or your spouse or your co workers.
ADHD meds cause all sorts of problems, but at least you pay attention in class. Well, as long as you take them anyway. Just remember... if you stop, you'll go through the same withdrawals a cokehead or a speed freak does when he runs out.
