Some of my best childhood memories are

of autumn and the care free fun I had.

I still enjoy autumn and it used to be my

favorite, but I know what comes next, and it

isn't always that much fun {winter that is } .

I love what you said about autumn. And I'm an American by the way, I just have a huge fascination with japanese stuff, especially the food. :3  I also love the color of orange in autumn, and seeing plaid scarfs blow from the wind, and kids jump in huge piles of leaves (we used to do that as kids too). One thing I kinda like about Halloween is that it's in autumn. I think it's a cute holiday for the kids who want to dress up for fun, basically I think it's just a fun holiday for kids and adults alike, plus it's getting your stomach full of sweets. Who couldn't resist that? :3we never really had Halloween as children... recently though in the UK it
has taken off as an imported holiday from the US and now people go
'trick or treating' over there too.

it's so funny the differences --- everybody looks at me as if i am quite
mad when they realise i have no idea when thanksgiving is.... how would i
know??? i thought you had already had it for this year! apparently it is
yet to come.

my first thanksgiving meal.

maybe i will get to go trick and treating too.I notice that autumn is coming up and it happens to be my favorite season. There are times that I feel a little more calm and relaxed when I think about it, behavior wise. I know that not everything can go according to plans and life does throw things at you no matter what the circumstances are. But, does anyone feel more relaxed when the seasons change any?i love autumn (hey i thought you called it fall over here - although maybe
you are japanese, i just say that because your name tag looks kind like a
japanese-style word? i'm english.).

it is definitely my favourite season --- by far, i love it. unfortunately, this
year i am going to miss it because i am in Los Angeles but the weather is
lovely here so I don't mind much at all!?!

I love those beautiful, crisp, clear autumn days - when there is just a
shock of cold in the air you breathe but the sun shines through and the
subtle, muted, infinite variety of the golds and reds and browns and
yellows --- oh, yes! without doubt my absolute favourite season of the
year - beyond all others! i LOVE autumn - it suits me, it suits my
personality. what is that poem about mellow fruitfulness --- i'm sure
that sums it up best.

it does seem calm, reassuring, gentle time of year. a slower time of year
- without being cold or hostile. a perfect time of year, when you can
wrap up but the sun still shines!

yay! for autumn. it is the best. leaves are welcome to fall on my head
any day. piles are welcome to pile up so i can kick through them. i LOVE
autumn.

long black skirts and wooly scarfs wrapped around. hooray. i love
autumn - it is so not brash, like summer and so not perky, like spring,
and so not cold, like winter - it is happy-sadness. it is that evocative
sadness of intangibility like something just out of reach, just out of sight,
just almost there.... and then the happiness to be in fact just where you
are - surrounded by the beauty and smell of... autumn.

i LOVE autumn!chjones38609.4536458333

Give me sun shine....Keep the rain...Snow is fun to play in....Doesn't do any good to complain.

I live in Oregon...And I hate the RAIN!

Gray wet weather makes me BLUE.

Besides all the lovely colors in the fall, I enjoy being able to walk my dogs without so many bugs!  I do not enjoy bugs!

i love autumn! it's cooler, the air is crisper, leaves crunching under your feet. it makes me think of baking bread and hot soup.

the biggest problems w/it are: the light changing affects my moods, and for a variety of reasons the holidays( from halloween thru new yrs.) causes me to slip into depression. i am terrible at choosing presents for people, and usually $$$$ challenged as well. for some reason, this hits me HARD.

if all i had to do was enjoy the outdoors, i would look forward to this time of year with all the zeal of a 4-y.o. waiting for santa.

In some way I like autumn (I guess itīs a bit different here in Finland??). I love the yellow and red leaves. I love when the air is fresh and when itīs not too warm outside. I like the rainy days. I like picking berries and mushrooms in the forrest.
But......at the same time as itīs getting darker and darker Iīm getting more and more tired, and depressed too. Itīs changing so fast from the light summer to the dark winter. Iīve got the same problem in the spring too. itīs difficult with the fast changings.
So, I guess Iīm opposite from you, not liking the seasoning changing. Or rather, not feeling well of the changings.

My favorite season is fall.  I love the changing colors.  It doesn't last long enough.

As for seasonal depression, I do really well til after Christmas-mid Jan. and things quiet down.  I start getting depressed in the umpteenth Wisconsin winter month!  Which is why, this summer I painted my kitchen to look like a garden!  Then when I am depressed in Jan. I can sit in my "garden"!

i love autumn too but spring has started.. spring with its unpredictable weather..
but flowers blossoming, lambs jumping, kittens meowing..

I would think season's changing moods falls under SAD right?  To some degree I think most people north of the equator end up moody and irritable as the sun goes away.  I don't much myself but see it all around.

For me I look forward to fall!  As the days shorten I get more energy as I am not good with too hot a day.  I have a high metabolism and get warm too quickly.  The summer leaves me sweaty and dopey to a degree.

I became a naturist early in life as I could neither tolerate a) tags and tight collars/sleeves or b) sweaty clothing.  Ugh.  When I ended up free from home and ignorance I freed myself of the clothing!  Yippeeeee!

When fall comes I can stretch out and worry about only one bath/shower per day instead of several.  I just can't stand the feel of sweat and having it run in my hair and eyes.  A real pet peeve for me.

Anyone else?

- Glen

i love spring too but autum has started.. autum with its unpredictable weather..
but flowers drying, lambs no longer, kittens howling... but all survivable, b/c SNOW is in the air! Cold, fresh, chilling snow. Short days, looooong nights, and very warm beds, while thoughts of sugar pow danced in their heads. Butterflies in bellies, as the slopes draw near, then the sound of lifties, which you can now hear, brings a broad grin, stretching ear to frosty ear.
Consider this, some people's moods are effected by the intensity and duration of sunlight. I happen to be bipolar/ADHD/SAD. I'm hypomanic in the summer. I start to slow down in the fall with the declining light. I tend to become depressed in the winter. Spring comes along I start speeding up and the cycle starts all over again. Good drug combo helps moderate, but the seasons still effect my mood. I love winter. I hate summer.
I love cold, snow, quiet. A survival challenge.
Summer is sooooo hot. You can only take off so many clothes.
But in winter, you have many options. I despair in summer, 135 degrees F.
I thrive in winter 0.0 or minus F. Maybe I'm a bear. I get fat in summer, and lean in winter. ROAR.

I  HATE FALL & WINTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like autumn!  The crunch of leaves underfoot.  The air is crisp and smells way nicer than summer (especially around cattle like in my neck of the woods! LOL).

I like the pine cones on the ground *crunch crunch* - ok I like crunching things I admit it.

I love the colors - the reds and oranges.  The night sky is so clear and sparkly!  I love to see the stars and it's SO nice in fall.

Kids are back in school YAY!  The streets are mine again!

I love the foods too - pumpykin pie is my fave!  Only get good pie in fall.  Turkey is good too - anyone offer me soy turkey and they DIE.  MMMMM Turkey.

It's all good - every season has it's good side but fall and spring are my times I love most of all.
