Ordering Conerta from mail-order pharmacy | ADHD Information

Yes, We were using Caremark than was switched to Primemail. My Insurance company allows us to get adderall or any other control substance at my normal cost which can be anywhere from $ 10-$ 40 dollars. We also only get month to month prescriptions. My last doctor who retired gave me three months worth of prescriptions, that was nice! I am also ADHD so for me I have trouble remembering to send them in last time I waited till I had 2 pills, than had to ask the doctor for samples till my pills came in.

My Insurance company utilizes Caremark. I registered on the website and looked through all the information, but I had difficulty in actually finding the information on how to order the prescriptions. What does one need to do inorder to order from Caremark?

Yes, I wanted to order my son's meds from mail order, and I was told the same thing.  Unfortunately, I spend a month on his meds, with insurance.  If anyone else has any ideas, please let us all know!

Thank you

Brandi

My son (age 6 1/2) has been on Concerta for 1 1/2 months.  The first month he was given the lowest dosage  but we didn't see any change.  The doctor switch him to the next higher dosage and he is a completely different child - for the better.

My company "makes" us order maintenance drugs (prescriptions that are taken for long term) from Caremark.  My son's pediatrician told me she can only give me a prescription on a month-by-month basis since it is considered a controlled substance.  If I have to go to my local pharmacy it will cost me a month for his prescription.  If I order it through Caremark, it will cost me for a 3 month prescription.

Has anyone else had to deal with this issue?  How did you handle this?
