So, my step-son Devon has been on Concerta for about 4 months now, it has helped with his handwriting, how he is in school, etc.,but we still have major listening problems every day still, that part has only improved about 25%.
But my friend just started working at a healthfood store and brought us a bottle of "Attentive Child" from Bio Align. We have never liked the idea of medicating Devon, but it has worked wonders with his schoolwork and behavior, but we sometimes don't give it to him on weekends,holidays,etc., and I was wondering if there are any side effects of giving him the attentive child on weekends or adding the attentive child with the Concerta( I still feel he needs SOMETHING because his behavior at home is still lacking)-I think he needs a little more of a "Boost" and since it is all natural it is very inviting and more alluring than upping his Concerta mg's.
Does anyone have any advice?

I would asK the doc if Attentive Child would have any interactions/complications with the Concerta. I too have been tempted to try something more "natural" but I will ask before starting anything. I have read on some of the websites that Strattera and stimulants such as Concerta can be given toghether so I don't see why an all natural remedy could not be given with concerta, but I would make sure with the doctor before giving. Let us know what the doc says.
