i was taking xanax for panic attacks, worked for short periods of times. what are yuo taking the xanax for?
zoloft worked for a short period of time for me. then stopped.
i have adhd, and severe anxiety depression.
just was switched to straterra 40 mg yesterday and can already tell it is working and it also has and anti depresant in it. they switched me from xanax to klonopin 1 mg that i can take up to three times a day and it stays in your system longer and doesnt give you the roller coaster effect and not as groggy. i like it better than xanax.
i was taking concerta 54 mg and xanax .5mg but i felt like the concerta was no longer working, so my doctor switched me to adderall xr, and still taking the xanax, but i am still depressed, has anyone had this issues and what med's have you taken to help the depression. the adderall seems to be working great but i still feel depressed and iritated alot.. someone told me to talk to my doctor about zoloft but has anyone heard of taking adderall xr and zoloft at the same time?i still had panic attacks on xanax some bad and some mild. the new script i got yesterday is working great and doesnt make me as groggy, i can take it during the day when i am alone with the kids. i was on .5mg of xanax and am on 1mg of klonopin. it stays in the system longer then xanax and works alot better. you should ask about it. i had severe panic attacks up to 3 times a day. and this helps me sleep better at night as well. the xanax doesnt las long in your system i found out and therefor you are up and down alot. but not with the klonopin.
are you diagnosed for anything else? if so what? and what all are you taking?
i am for severe anxiety depression and adhd and am taking strattera. i started this only yesterday and i can tell an improvement. it will take time to get to wehre i need to be and may need to up my strattera in a week or so. but strattera works for adhd and depression.
i am only taking the addreall xr and the xanax, i'm not sure (i know how this sounds how can you not be sure but i dont really remember if he told me i had depression or he said im giving you this for your depression and i know he diagnosed me with ADD, because i had to fill out these questionnaires.. and that stuff before he would write a prescription for it but i know the xanax works for my panic attacks. BUT im soooo moody lately (its like major PMS alot!!!)i'm not sure what the diagnosis for why im taking xanax but basically i went into the doctor and told him i was horribly moody and i was having panic attacks so he wrote me a precip. for xanax but i just dont think the xanax is working i am so depressed about everything and im not sure what to do nowplease do.....hope it helpsthanks i'll search the site and let you knowlast thursday so it hasnt been a full week on adderall, i took concerta and xanax before and it didnt seem like the concerta was working so.... my doctor switched me to the adderall, i feel really focused and all the things that the concerta used to do but i just feel so grouchy... and i seem to be getting upset for no "real" reason too thats why i thought the xanax is not right because the addreall seems to be working so im not surebut have you been tested for bipolar......the adderall will help for focusing but if you are bipolar it will make you grouchy....that is why i didnt try it as i have some symptoms of bipolar the manic depression symptoms.i am not meaning to push the bipolar but you seem to have a lot of the same symptoms as i do and i did a lot of research on it. i just want what is best for yu and for you to be at your best. i guess i would at least check into it.
is there anything i can research on the web to see if it seems like i have bipolar symtoms? (i do not see a therapyst, i have tried that and end up not going and giving up thats when i started talking to my family doctor about depression and adhd. but maybe i do need to be tested? who do i contact to get tested and is there some research i can do online?

that may help....my appoint is set up with a psychiatrist. but not till january, that is why i wont take anything that will effect bipolar in case i have it. and adderall will..let me know what you find or if you have any questions. i have a small book my psych dr gave me that i could mail to yuu, just pm me your address and i will get it out in the mail....jsut dont mind my marks on the page.
do you have bipolar.....because adderall will make you moody if you have bipolar. i get tested for it in january which is why i wasnt put on adderall. just in case. depression can be a form of bipolar. in which case if you are moody maybe you should try strattera. it has a form of anti depressant in it and works for add/adhd. and it is a nonstimulant.
hopefully the xanax keeps working, but if you have break throughs like i did i would also check into something else.
at first when you get put on meds it is like trial and error, they say within a week of most meds you will no if it works or not.
when did you start these meds?
