Adderall XR -- Dizziness?Hi Rinner, I would call your physician/psych who prescribed the med to see if this is a transient side effect or something abnormal. My son has been taking Adderall XR for 2+ yrs and hasn't had that type of side effect but it can effect everyone differently. Good Luck! Hello, I am a 29 year old male and have suffered from ADD as far back as I can remember. I recently started taking Adderall XR ( 10mg in morning ) and after 3 days of *AMAZING* results I am finding myself quite dizzy and confused.. This is very worrying to me and also quite frustrating because the last few days I have been so positive ... I expected some side effects but I thought they would get better as I started to tolerate the medication - not worse! I do not 'get high' from the medication - my brain simply appears to function 'normally' for once, which is something I have not felt in 20 years. I am hopeful this medication will be effective in the long term but if the dizziness and confusion persist then it really doesnt seem worth it. I must also mention I started on Straterra but the side effects were horrible and I was sleeping all day long. Thanks, Fellow ADD sufferer. It seems to me that some people are simply more sensitive to a 'change' in stimulant levels in the brain, and this can result in a few days of these side effects while adjusting to the new dose. For me diet is a huge factor - if I forget to eat lunch or even leave it 30 mins later than normal I will be a zombie by 3pm.. I have been on regular Adderall for about 3 weeks and after really feeling good the first few weeks, I also started having trouble with dizziness. I also feel like there's a tight headband around my head. Dizziness is listed as one side effect that probably warrants call to dr. I have appt. to see shrink on Monday. |
