I am wondering what you found about adderrall. I am on concerta 54mg and my medicine is doing the same thing around 2pm I am kind of in a fog. I feel like it is wearing off way early.

I'm brand new here....but I have a zone from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. where I feel somewhat "depressed." I've described this to my doctor.....so far, nothing. I've been on Adderall for about 7 months. During this time, he has increased my dosage to 30 mg. This alleviated my original problem which was a "crashing" I felt around 3:00 p.m. everyday. He said this sounded like the "suicide hour" that parents with children taking Ritalin described of their children's behavior after "school hours." Anyway, lately I've wondered if it would be better without the drug??? It does help me focus and stay more on track during the day (my husband agrees with this) however, he also says I have become more impatient. I'm a funloving happy-go-lucky person by nature. Not so sure that was so bad......My Dr. said I lived in my "la-la" land by not "focusing" as most do....I'm starting to wonder what's so bad with that.....Maybe the world would be less stressed if more were in a more "laid-back" state....what do you think???

Ok, I read up on this myself. Thanks anyway. I am going to discuss this with my Dr. during my next appt.Not a high enough dosage.My son is 6 and is on 15mg.Talk to your dr about a higher dosageMy Dr prescribed me Adderall XR. I have only been on it for 1 month. It seems to ware off early in the day. Is the regular Adderall different? If so, how? Has anyone here taken both? If so what is the difference. BTW, I am currently on 10mg's of Adderall XR.
It just seems I start off the day great with the XR and then just putter around 2pm.
