Info on these topics

Hey!  I'm reading "ADD Friendly Ways to Organize Your Life"  as well!  Maybe we can compare thoughts on the techniques offered. That sounds great, thanks for the info on the book... will look into obtaining this - see if we can all actively research the same material together and work out talking about it. I think that would be wonderful.

hi there!  Chief and Chaz - please go to the books forum and start a topic on any of the books youve read!  We are trying to develop a place where people can share info on books - good and bad.  If the title of your book already has a topic just post in that topic... if the title does NOT have one just start a new topic!  It will make it easier in the future when people want to read about a book before they buy it!

thanks

Hi Bama,

That was me. I have read a few pretty good books, but I don't have the author's names right now:

"Driven to Distraction", "Out of the Fog", "Scattered".

I am reading one now that seems pretty good as far as helping, it is "ADD Friendly Ways to Organize Your Life" and it is by Judith Kolberg and Kathleen Nadeau.

The rest I have gleaned from numerous websites and articles (www.add.org). I am still pretty new to this (diagnosed about 4 months ago), but I am trying to get a handle on it.

By the way, are you in Alabama? I spent 4 years in Anniston.

A very nice person responded to another thread of mine and mentioned dealing with ADHD through these other avenues listed below.  Does anyone know a respected text or periodical that addresses these variables in such a way that I could use the information to suit my own situation?

Quote from another thread.

"But with a combination of the meds, eating properly, regular exercise, enough sleep, and learning some ADD-oriented organizational and interpersonal skills, we can do just fine!"

Yes.  I had a few fraternity brothers from Anniston and part of my wife's family is from Pell City.

Thanks for the book titles.

I had a great time in Alabama. I was in the service and was stationed at Ft. McClellan from 80-84. I met my wife at the lodge on Mt. Cheaha in 82.

Great place!
