Help my son is losing weight!!!! | ADHD Information

We have the same problem.  My son is 5 years old weighs 34 pounds wears size 3 clothes.  His 3 year old sister is bigger than he is.  He is on Strattera.Thank you so much for getting back with me... I thought I was the only parent like this and just felt as if I wasn't doing something right... My son eats more than my husband and I too. And he has two younger siblings that are 9 and 6 and both are out growing him and weigh more.. My 9 yr son is 75 and 6 yr daughter is 58 or so lbs. I had heard that those insure drinks really work??? Does anyone know???

Thanks. snowball38161.2975694444My 12 year old son has ADHD LD and has been Adderall and what I am worried about is his weight... His appetite is excellent and still he only weighs 51 lbs. His waist can fit a size 6 and his length can fit a size 10. I am unsure how to help with this and would like some suggestions please....I would like to know if this is more serious than my Doctor is stating .... each time we visit I mention this problem and it is put off ????

I am not sure I have an ideas but I can tell you that your not alone. My son will be 13 in July and he weighed in at 67lbs today. His Dr. doesn't see a problem with it either. Mine needs a 12 for length with a 8 waist. And my son eats like a horse. He can eat more than my husband at most meals. My personal thought is because of the hyper part of him he can't gain weight. So I have him doing some weight training. I am trying to make sure the muscles get the workout. It also makes him even more hungry so I know he is getting enough food. It's a catch 22 but it works for us.

I wish I could eat like him and not put on the weight.
