It’s only 9:08!!!

So if he figured out the system they should keep him and come up with another form of disicpline like maybe a chore at school or something.  Aren't they supposted to be the experts? what a joke.(I'm venting.)  Already today the school nurse has called to tell me my son is with the counselor!  Agh!  <smiley pulling out hair>  I hope the rest of the day is better.  We had homework this weekend because of his behavior on Friday - the three school rules.  I guess he forgot the part about not running around in class, making all kinds of noises.  Like his teacher said, "He has the system figured out."  I'm pretty sure he thinks he'll be able to come home.  What a little booger!  I think my six year old has spent more time in the office in the three weeks he's been at school than the rest of the children combined.  I guess I'll be sitting by the phone today.... I agree with Jillette, they need to start thinking of ways to outsmart him not the other way around. Yeah that is a joke, my daughter is really smart and she acts up when she's bored and the teacher sits there and wonders why she acts that way?? DUH??

Yes, stepmom, they sure are!

Well, it's 12:18 now, how's it going hopper77?

I had to laugh in sympathy at your subject line.  This has been a theme for me since my DS started moving around (which was nearly at birth!)  I will look at the clock and just say "how can not be much, much later in the day than this?!"  They can wear you out pretty quick.

Figuring out the system, eh?  Mine too.  I have to be really careful about letting him get out of anything for any reason just once, because he will figure out how to do it again, often without anyone realizing what he is doing.

There's *got* to be more teachers can do for ADHD kids who are bright & bored in school.

I think its sad that teachers (some of them....not all) don't seem to want to deal with our kids. The other day my dd's teacher called me at work to tell me they "couldn't find" dd's math book so & "How can I help her with math if we can't find her book"? Well, what am I supposed to do? I'm at work. Turns out the book was in dd's desk! What I want to know is why didn't they look in the desk BEFORE they called me at work??

Today they called because she didn't have her glasses. Glasses were in her bookbag....but did they have her look there? No....they sent her to the nurse to call ME! I've told them a thousand times if shes trying to avoid something, her first excuse is "I don't have it" or "I forgot it". Sometimes I wonder if the school even listens to me AT ALL!?!

My SD used to go the nurse's office everyday when she felt overwhelmed by all the rule following. Somehow around 10am, she developed a stomach ache that disappeared in time for lunch and reccess. We finally told the teacher to stop letting her go to the nurse unless she could visibly see that she was sick.

Kids are crafty aren't they.
