The Bribe surgery update
I am bribing my child to take her pain meds as well as her anti-biotic instead of forcing I am offering if she takes them next week i will buy her a DVD of choice. She wants Cinderella on DVD for our vhs it wearing out from constant play (favorite movie). So far it is working, she is still reluctant but taking them.hey i am not at all against bribes for any reason at all to get a child to do something

I'm not against bribes in this kind of situation at all. She had to go through surgery and the pain afterwards. She definately deserves even if it is presented as a bribe.
My parents used to do this with me. I was born with a pretty severe heart condition and had to constantly go to the Children's Hospital for invasive testing. I always got a special toy and treat afterward for the "suffering".
I'm glad you figured out a way to get her to take them. Hang in there.
