Post op appointment from the surgeryits great that she is feeling better.. great for you too ![]() I had my daughter out of school for two weeks there was no way she could go back she wasn't sleeping at night all the way through she woke up every 2 hrs with pain. I was not planning to send her unless I felt she was 100% otherwise I am sure the teacher would not get much out of her except crabbyness. I just let the nurse know what was up and she agreed with me. Give it the weekend and see how she feels, if she's still in pain don't send her to school on Monday; you want her to have a good day going back instead of a painfull one and also be in a good mood. I'm glad Annette is healing in spite of all the screaming she did. I know you were worried about that. Hopefully, she will be feeling a lot better in a couple more days. The surgeon is out of town but a female associate saw my child. First of all she called my daughter Amanda, her name is Annette. Second she had no patience for my girl who was not the most cooperative and needed prompting so the doctor got huffy and said when she is ready I will return and stormed out of the room. I approached her in the hallway and told her to read her chart for ADHD is listed she came back a few minutes later and apologized to us and was more patient. She said my kid could go back to school monday but I told her she is still in pain and not eating and we are lucky if we get fluids down her. She is also on the whinny side. She still said she can go back to school and walked away. I spoke to the school nurse who knows my child and agreed with me we will see how she does over the weekend. If not better I will keep her home come monday. As a treat I got her an Iced Cappacino from tim hortons she loves them. my mother-in-law stopped over and commented "giving caffeine to a child with ADHD" I told her it has the opposite effect for her and she let it go. I called her regular Pediatrition this am and they gave us suggestions and said if there is still a problem to call back the surgeons office and demand to only see the surgeon who did the surgery not the associate. They also said we can take her to them to look at her. As for pain medicine they are recommending the tylenol with codiene is better with lots of fluids so now we are buying syrupy drinks to disguise the med for she will not take them. The strong willed part really comes out at times we do not want. Uggg. But thanks everyone for being here for us. |
