ooo ooo!!! Got a good one!!!
My daughter walked in the kitchen and asked what I was doing.. " Cooking dinner" was my reply.
"But its only 4:3O " She says
I know that , I say but it takes an hour to cook....
You know your ADD is getting better when you realize dinner is ON TIME and it didnt even occur to you that you were doing anything unusual!!
Gosh I want so much to just gush about all the changes going on in my life right now!! I cant believe a stupid pill can make such a big difference.. geez..
When you get on the computer before you go to work and say "I'll only stay on for a minute or two" and you can actually do just that.
when you remember yourmeds....
when you remember to eat....
when you can focus long enough to remember the post you are on and what you were really going to say without having to use the scroll up button often to see.
When people say "Wow! you're a lot calmer now!", you tell them it's because of the medication and they say "Keep taking it."
When you can sit through math class without constructing bracelets out of masking tape, doodling constantly, or trying to start a random conversation with the person next to you every 5 seconds only to have them tell you to be quiet because they're trying to pay attention.
When nobody has called you "crazy" "hyper" or "annoying" in over a month.
When no one has given you " the look" after seeing you in the hall or in public.
( you know, the one where they kind of wonder why they let you out in public look?)
you know your ADHD is better when as an adult you can finally turn your homework in on time. (old enough to be the mother of all the other students, but the homework's in on time)
WHen you are playing on the computer at 7:00 in the morning. Look up and realize.. hey, My house is clean!! ( hey wait , looking around, It really does look pretty good... )

Your BF notices your much improved mood, and ask if you are on drugs.
You have a visitor to your classroom and they comment "wow!" I've never seen your room so quiet !"
As the person leaves you do a little happy dance in the corner
