I just started concerta 27 mgs. I've been taking it for 5 days so far and I feel great all day though I have a hard time sleeping at night and don't want to take sleeping pills. I take the pill at 6 a.m. and haven't fallen asleep till 1 a.m though I get in bed at 10 or so.
I also notice a weird thing that I am wondering if anyone else experiences, I am chewing on my tongue. Not too hard, just notice it? Strange. So was wondering:
1. Has anyone else noticed the tongue thing?
2. Does the insomnia tend to go away or do you usually either need sleeping pills or to try a different med? I've never tried Adderall or Ritalin so I wonder if they don't interfere with sleep since they are shorter acting! Any feedback would be great!
Try melatonin, take it 1/2 an hour prior to bedtime, it works well for me, I've been taking it for years. The Doc said it won't interfere with my 54mg doseage of concerta, and it hasn't. I recommend 'Melatonex', its an extended release brand..not only does melatonin help you sleep, it is very healthy for you and my Doc agrees.
