i have adhd

 

ive got adhd and ive learnt to live with it ritalin is helpful thats probably how i learnt to live with it but the ritalin stopped me from eating which gave me low blood sugar level so i was constantly in a mood and it gave me bad dreams.

id like to here your thoughts mon this!!!!!

barney, To start with, try to eat really nutritious meals for breakfast before you take your Ritalin, and for supper. You may have to eat your supper at bedtime.

Are you taking the Ritalin twice a day? You may need to consider taking a smaller second dose so it wears off early enough for you to eat. It also may help you sleep better without the bad dreams. I'm not sure, just thinking out loud! Anyone know about this?

its ok because i was taken off ritalin a few years ago ive learnt to concentrate properly now ill pass your advice on to some freinds thankyou ! from barney

I strongly encourage you to eat a high-protien diet and snack on high-energy snacks like sunflower seed kernels, peanuts, yogurt, peanut butter on celery sticks, lean chicken breast, tunafish etc. Fresh fruits and vegetables, fish oil supplements from a health food store and plenty of water will also work wonders.
