Lori, Thank you for altering your post to show what you really want to write about. I have also edited mine.
I too have a problem with meds being pushed on those who don't need them. I also desire to see the safest meds possible for those who do need them.
I also would like the public educated about ADHD and what it really is. If you can do that in a tactful, non-inciting way, then you go girl!

I am looking for people who have had a personal experience with ADD or ADHD.
The story can be about you, your child, or anyone you know, as long as it is true and accurate.
All authors will be recognized for their work below their story, however, if you would like to remain anonymous this is fine as well.
This work is already underway, but I still need more stories and I am open to suggestions about the book.
Here is what the book is focusing on:
Unique Experiences Misdiagnosis Over medicating, or medication abuse Insight into your daily life Schools and ADHD If you have used any of your or anyone else’s ADD medication recreationally Effects it has had on your life
If you would like to contribute a story, please either paste your story in an email, or send me a link to its location.
You can reach me at lori11261980@writing.com
Thanks and I hope to hear from you.

Barb,
My most sincere apologies, I hope I haven't upset anyone. Let me clarify, I have ADD myself. I was dianosed 13 years ago. My story is a very terrible one and I am writing about it. The medications prescribed for this disorder can be VERY dangerous to children if they are given under the wrong conditions. I am not going to be using biased material, I am also including the sucess stories of ADD treatment as well as the struggles that people endure when they have this condition. Again I do agologize.
Lori,
why have you spammed our board? I would think that if you are a serious writer your local ADHD specialist would be happy to put you together with the people you seek. You could even attend some support groups meetings and ask people face to face. You say that you have been diagnosed with ADHD - surely you know people who care for others like you on a daily basis.
But rather you are here online spamming a board looking for information. We have no idea who you are, how you would use such information and if it would be of benefit to the ADHD community or not.
I realize that you have made some attempt at explaining yourself if the posts listed on so many boards here - but honestly your ability to explain yourself has been lacking - I cant imagine that your book would be concise and clear.
Elizabeth
I am really glad that you edited your post! Like myself, a lot of parents that have children with ADHD/ADD have a really hard time getting family and friends to understand that all the horrible things they read and hear aren't exactly accurate, and are most of the time one sided.
So I hope you can understand why I was so brash in my post.
Cindy
