Sumi at muscle beach flexing the buff jaw! You have the funniest sense of humor!

I have a lot of nervous behaviors like this also.

I just developed that cheek biting this past year! I am 42 and since I can remember chewed my nails/skin offff and now I still chew the skin on my fingers but bite cheeks too! arghyes to all the above and I have also chipped my front teeth from constant grinding.WOW!!  I hadn't heard of the biting till now.  I bit nails and cheeks, pens and pencils, whatever...  Chewed on the inside of my lips (not enough to break skin) and tounge.  I bounce knees or feet almost constantly.  Everything has calmed down (except the bouncing) since starting meds.  But I didn't notice it was gone till I read your post.I tend to chew on my tongue.  Been doing that for years.  All the meds I'm on did not help that at all.  Glad to know I'm not just a weirdo.

grinding teeth. my jaw aches every morning and throughout the day sometimes.

if i chew gum i do it so ..i have a hard time thinking about how to explain it: intensely that i have to force myself to give it up and get rid of it otherwise my jaw will be super jaw muscle sized. i could oil it up get a fake tan and compete in the jaw competitions if i chewed gum regularly.

Wow, I've been tearing up my cheeks for years, have looked it up on the internet, and have never found that it was experienced by anyone else.

Just recently diagnosed with ADD at age 40. Only on day 3 of Adderall, and so desperately waiting for it to kick in. Something might have been a little different at work today, but I'm waiting for the "lightning bolt" (I know it won't happen that way).

Just so relieved to know there are other cheek biters out there  : )

Sunshine,

I don't bite my cheeks but I sure do chew on the insides of my lips.  Isn't ADHD and all it's many symptoms fun?

Welcome to the Board.
