Doctors across the globe earn money as a means of living. Most active
members of the organizational self help group, known locally as THE
ADHDnews.com Forum, approve the following as it would benefit local
humanity.

Those who are opposed to ADHD, ADD, or medicinal treatment for said abilities,
are considered as welcome as pubic lice. An effective treatment with a
Rediculicide would be more welcome. Considering they are wasting valuable
resources, such as time and angst, they are quite empty headed. As such,
removal of said head by radical surgery will help clear up such a clatter.
     I still think thats funny, DOnt care whut othrr peepol say, that wuzz funny!!  Don't believe in ADHD? Wanna lose 30 pounds of ugly fat?? CHOP your friggin' HEAD off.It's not in rhyme,

now now Davido --- why not consider it your mission to enlighten them rather than dismiss them?  hmmm?

they come to this board and it is an opportunity for us,  a chance at advocacy and changing their beliefs.  take Balanced for example - initially not believing ADD existed at all but a few weeks on the board brought about the realisation that it does exist.

ok balanced is not convinced that medication is the answer but i consider that a very positive result and personally the more people that come to this board - the better because otherwise they will be walking around in the outside world holding on to their beliefs.

as we have an honest and just point of view - we have nothing to hide and nothing to fear from those who come here not understanding ADD.  do we?

why the need for such antagonism?  huh?  are you FEARFUL that you, yourself might be converted to their point of view.  no, you can't be.  you know yourself that it exists you live it.  so why such anger - why such intolerant responses - why?

better to be open and try to convince by force of reason.  not by shouting people down or abusing them --- why should we need to take that tactic?  we don't.  the only reason to take that tactic is if our argument didn't hold weight.  but it does.  so there is nothing to fear.

that is what i think, myself.  but perhaps i am being hopelessly naive, i often wonder about that.

it's not to say one can't get passionate on a topic but why so reactionary?  i don't get it.

I say teach the skills someone lags in appose to drugs. This will help better in the long run. Do you actually have ADD or are you merely an angel of mercy trying to cure us poor drugged out souls?

How about finding a treatment that WORKS for the situation, be that drugs, teaching, or behavioral therapy?

How about considering things with an open mind. Of course, I could be totally wrong....did I misunderstand? Are you a neurologist on the cutting edge of medical science bringing me a message from the near future that drugs are no longer needed for the treatment of ADD? Or are you simply someone who reads crap on the internet and decides that he/she knows better than the entire medical community, can discount decades of research simply because medication gives you 'a bad feeling'?
