Got my ADHD test results! | ADHD Information

  I know how you feel!  I found that just getting the dx was starting to help me.  Just knowing the name for it and knowing that I wasn't just "crazy."

I also found my blood pressure to be lower on the Adderall.  Weird . . . my doc thought for sure it would go up! 

 

Me to! I was releived to get dx, also a little scared. Relieved that this "thing" that has been with me since i can remember, had a name, but scared at first b/c i always thought someday i'd wake up, and i'd be like everyone else 

My dx was over a yr. now, and i've for the most part excepted it. Adderall helps. However, i haven't had a change in bp.120/82.

I went to see my therapist today and she HAD my ADHD test results from Monday.  I was Soooo happy!!!  I am ADHD combined type.  That really surprised me because I thought for sure I was just the inattentive type.  Apparently along with attention problems I also have a problem with implusivity which is considered part of the other type.  I have an appointment with a psychiatrist on July 22nd to get meds.  YEAH!  The testing Psychologist recommended stimulants or possibly anti-depressants.  Since I have high blood pressure I think they'll probably go with the latter first.

gettingagrip38184.4691319444YAY!  good for you! I'm happy that you finally have your dx! Just a side note: my blood pressure went down after getting on stims because my life's stress level went down! Went from 130-140 systolic (I'm 24 y/o) to 110-120! No pressure meds! Good luck on your appointment for the 22nd!
