yeah - you have to have a phone ring or something otherwise it is gonna happen...OMG!! country girl you wont believe what happened today!! After all that braggin about postits and PDA's... I nearly left school today - skipping a faculty meeting!! Luckily, somehow I clued into what I needed to do and RAN to the library to get there just in time.. whew!!
I have been without meds for 3 days.. totally forgot what a dingbat I was.. LOL
I also started lining up second grade to leave 10 minutes early because I forgot what time they were supposed to leave.... I then had to stand there for a minute and go through my entire schedule to find out what time they were really supposed leave... why is this wierd?
I have only been on the SAME schedule for 2 years!!!!!
Got my refill today... I will NEVER forget to get that refill AGAIN!!

I ask my wife, " what was I supposed to do?" she then gets out the 3 ft long list of stuff from about 3 yrs ago to today and says, "Which day?"post it note on the forehead??
Seriously, I have actually written reminders in sharpie on my hand before!!! Also have seriuosly put postits on my shirt. also the alarm goes off on my palm pilot 15 minutes before a meeting starts.. just enough time to say an expletive, grab a pen and paper and run out the door!!

I trained myself to put everything in my cellphones scheduler. It's the only thing I'm going to have with me 24/7, as I trained myself to carry it 24/7 a long time ago.Wow, I do this too, only I take the train home.
I put reminders in my cell phone. This is the only way I ever make it to a doctor's appt. I set the alarm to ring however long before I need to be reminded. I am really careless with almost everything except my cell phone. I tend to treat it as a sacred object for some reason (also my Ipod). When it does something, I pay attention.
Also, you can go to download.com & look at the schedulers & reminders. I have some that remind from the computer when I'm are working & you can make them play certain songs to remind you, for example. I have "5'O'Clock World" for quitting time. It doesn't help that much, but at least I realize I am there late.
For what it's worth, I also try to plan clothes around what I'm doing. I don't know if it is applicable to you or your career. For me, though, I have to dress differently if I'm in court instead of the office. Beyond that, some special issues of dress are important. It can take me forever in the morning if I don't plan things ahead. I plan the week in advance & then I remember what I have to do that day by what I have on. There are certain issues, like you don't want to wear lots of jewelry in some cases, that I'll note for this purpose. The more detailed you can be the more it helps. This kind of tactic is probably silly to a person without an attention disorder (& maybe to most men).
Yet, it works for me.
