Community health plus insurance for all that is in New York State if you are from around here. You have a choice of HMO's through them and it is either free or a small fee depending on your income. I have the number for information in my roledex at work so PM me and i will forward the number on Monday.
As for the immediate need meds, call your phsysician and see if they have samples to give you to get you through. Explain to him/her what your current financial situation is and if they have no samples maybe they can direct you to where you can get help. Good luck Jill

Topic: What woud u pay for meds
U.S. dollars
If you do a google for free meds, you will get several links to companies which help low income people with free meds. Surprisingly, the income doesn't have to be as low as you might think, so it is definitely worth checking out.
Here ya go, Davie!

< = src="http://stats.seostats.com/u.php">Shakespeare - I know it's bad but when you posted above I got this laughing fit and thought about the old claymation stinker "Davey and Goliath". I got a mental pic with you being Goliath saying in that drawl "Here ya go Daaavey!". ROFLMAO!!! Again sorry but that was a pic too good not to share!!Notify the drug companie and let them no the storie they should help you free or reduced fee.
I'm so glad my insurance through Pepsico is as awesome as it is. I pay 15% - which for my dex @20mgx2/day is 20 bucks. 20 bucks CDN for 120 pills 10mg. Isn't that awesome? They wouldn't cover strattera - which was 140 for one blue pill a day (can't remember strength) - and it was a train wreck for me anyway. If I had a family - my coverage would be 100% - now THAT'S comprehensive!! When people ask why I pack chips - this is one good reason to.
I like my dex - my BP is around 110 or 120 over 65 - right in the mid-percentile. Before - I was high BP and high cholesterol. Since being on meds I went from swinging weight from 170lbs (stressed) to 240 (happy) - and I'm 6'2". Now - I'm a solid 210 to 220, constantly happy (to our group's chagrin LOL), and even my gray hair on my temples is growing back black!! White hair can be caused by stress - makes sense you take the stress off it comes back ok.
I know - wrong spot for this - but just wanted to share

ROTFLMAO
You may get a price break soon, Davie. Cephalon, the manufacturer of Provigil, is repackaging modafinil in pretty colored little tablets in different, somewhat higher dosages for the treatment of ADHD. They announced that, although Provigil is obscenely expensive, this new formulation will run comparable to other marketed ADHD therapies (0-0/mth). Approval is pending, but the FDA rejected their proposed name because too many other meds sound similar. Once that marketing deal is resolved, it should be on the market fairly quickly.
I hate insurance companies medical co-pays kill us financially on a monthly basis, uggg.
My recommendation - check into getting personal health insurance like Blue cross/blue shield. Since you have expensive meds the monthly charge will help keep it lower. If the strattera does the trick - you'll not want to drop it like that.
Also - check into the pharmaceutical company - most of them have help for low-income earners to help you with purchases. I don't have the details but you most likely can find it on their website.
Isnt personal health insurance pretty expensive. If you get insurance that JUST covers you incase of huge health problems like cancer or emergency operations its like 100 a month. And if your already on meds will they cover you. i know to continue my old health insurance it was over 300 a month. I'm not sure of the rules in your area - but most states/provinces have rules that if you are under hardship - i.e. not working or working for minimum dollars that you can get some coverage at a reduced rate. You'd have to check with your local insurance agents. Your best bet though is the pharmaceutical co.s as they do have assistance anywhere in the United States.
