Hello Everyone,
I've noticed recently that my son is whiping his silva with his shirt. Apparently he is making to much saliva which is causing him to drool. Has anyone experience anything like this with their children? Please help........
I would definitely run it by your son's doctor. If the drooling started after he started Adderall, it could be a side effect.
drooling can often also be when the sinuses are inflamed but not running - your child could be mouth-breathing. Some meds will dehydrate and could dry up the sinuses or inflame them. But for sure - check with your MD but it could be as simple as a nasal moisturizer for treatment.
I don't drool but my nose is always running since I started adderall.
paritthead - try out flonase - I am on it for over 2 months and dry nose all the time. That's with dust allergies and working around cardboard dust so I can attest it works! Dexedrine can make the small blood vessels in the nose constrict which I think makes our nose think it's under attack. I was sniffling even outside work and that's why I went and got the stuff. It's cheap on insurance too - it costs me 8 bucks a month on my 80 percent covered plan.
I would check the side effects like someone else had mentioned and talk to the doctor. Drooling is unusual. Dry mouth is common with adderall. as is nasal drip. ask your dr.
