	Son wants to be left alone Is he like this all the time or just some of the time? Does he want to be around his peers? When you are with him, are you asking him a lot of questions, trying to engage him? I agree with Hawks. And if it isn't the Adderall, I would make sure you're not dealing with depression by having him evaluated by a good child pschiatrist. Believe me, 9-year-olds can become depressed -- mine did last year. If this is a recent occurance (within the 2 months he's on Adderall) you can bet it is a side effect of Adderall. You should report it to his doctor, and possibly try Ritalin or another med. I would take him off and see what happens to his personality. Hello Everyone, My son 9 yrs old has been on Adderral XR 30 mg, going on 2 months almost. What has concerned me lately is that he has asked me to leave him alone. He wants privacy. He doesn't want me to be were he is, if he is watching TV in the living room he wants me somewhere else, same as if he is in his room......... Has anyone experienced this behavior. I try to but he just says he wants to be alone. The kids in the neighborhood don't even look for him anymore : ( Not only that if I don't leave him, he starts getting mad, aggressive......
