Clean Desk, Cluttered Desktop? | ADHD Information
Sometimes I doubt my ADHD, b/c I don't have a cluttered, messy, unorganized desktop.
Anyone else experience this?
I think I know why, it's b/c my desktop is sooooo cluttered, I can't see it!
Well, you can take it either of two ways:
1. That was an oxymoron.
2. I am an oxymoron.
oh wait, d'o --- i think i get it. is it a bit like my carpet
when i was a child. immaculately clean because i only ever walked
over the clothes and sh*te all over the floor. more like that?
i am feeling a little slow today. and i have to go to - see ya
cj
what?

is this me? or is that two contradictory sentences here... am i missing something?
At work, my desk is so organized, neat and clean I'm almost obsessive about it. People stop to profess awe that anyone could be so neat and organized. Everything has a place or a file or something. I hate it any other way.
At home, there are piles everywhere. EVERYWHERE. I'm a very organized person but I can't keep up with the unstructured environment at home. I get it organized and then lose control within two days. Piles are my downfall. They end up moving to more piles in the basement which drives hubby nuts. You never know what we're going to find down there.
Or
3. What is clutter to one, is organized to another. OMG!...You know what this represents???
If it's not cluttered to me, but SCATTERED out in seemingly random
piles, drawers, shelves, briefcases, and floors, it is still organized
to ME!!!
1. Who is to define what is organized to an ADHDre? Is there a Constitutional Amendment defining organization?
2. As this is organization to me, is it an indicator of how my mind is 'organized'?
4. What is a desktop to one, is a desktop to another. i.e. My physical
desktop is clean, but my virtual desktop is an incredibly cluttered
mess, to the point where even I can't remember (not that I was ever
that good at it) where I put something.
5. Thank God for Search & Rescue programs...
i seriously just today noticed that every single surface in my house has crap on it. papers and junk like that. desks, tables, everything!!!

I hear you there!!!!!!!!!! That sounds just like me anytime I would clean my room my carpet would look like new!
Sometimes I don't doubt I have ADHD. My whole life is cluttered and messy. I donno, but I just can't see it. Think I'll take everything to Goodwill and start over......
or you are an ox and i a moron.
really gotta go now. go now!
i have stuff on top of everything and under that stuff are things that are beside it cuz it couldnt fit beneath them which is why i stacked all of it on top of the things on the opposite side so that i would have more room in between the stuff on top. i never notice my so called "mess" anymore. i theorize it all just kinda fades into the backgroud cuz my eyes get used to its position and no longer recognizes its presence. thats why i complain that someone stole the remote again when it was on the table in front of me
A place for everything, and everything in its place.
Move it then don't tell me, and i'm in outer space.

Check the racks whilst there, might find your winter underwear.
