My Sons Teacher is Mad with Me | ADHD Information
Well I did it this time - it is like being a kid again and fearing the teacher. I sticky taped half a tablet to the lid of my kids lunchbox - because he needed it at lunch and I couldnt get hold of my ped to give a letter. Well some other boy saw it told his Mum and she dobbed on me. Oooooh I nearly talked back to the teacher - but I just said "yes I know I know - I am sorry wont happen again" grrrrrr. She spent the first term complaining endlessly about how bad he is now He is Good - leave me alone. Inwardly I mutter "grrrrr if some other bloody silly little kid took my kids tablet - then he obviously needed it - grrrrrr"Yes I sorted it all out thanks guys - just venting - I dont really blame the teacher - she was just trying to do the right thing - I have the letter now and all is better.I understand how you feel but in our school system, my child could be suspended if I sent him to school with a tablet of anything. They are very strict about the rules, and children here have to go to the office to take ANYTHING, the teacher can't even give it to them. So - I would get the docs note immediately and follow protocol. Just my 2 cents. Lisa
Can't the teacher get over it. You did something wrong, you know it. You did what was best 4 your boy that day. The teacher should not hold a grudge. Your beef is really with the Principle anyway for breaking the rules of the school.
Just goes to show you how immatur the teacher can be when dealing with kids and parents.
Have you gotten the Ped. letter? Our school just needs to see the prescription bottle and have a note from me on what time of the day he is to go to the school to take it. We put our boy on a 12 hour so he can take before school to avoid him being teased by other students. Turns out half the kids in his school are on adhd, depress or other meds anyway. Does your school accept the prescription bottle and your note?
I meant to the SCHOOL office to take meds.
