1 May be add and the other adhd.

Hi All,

I'm the newest member to the forum, but have been dealing with ADHD and my one 6 yr. old twin son for the better part of 2 yrs.  He is currently on 18mg of concerta and does well on it for the most part.  He does have some trouble getting to sleep at night, and lately seems to be having alot more screaming, tantrums going on.  He has started kindergarten this year in a mainstream school, and is receiving alot of Special Ed, speech etc. for other issues resulting from his prematurity.  He is not a behavioral problem at school, and is the meeker of the two twins.

My current dilemma is this.  His twin brother has not been diagnosed with ADD/ADHD but has recently shown alot of the classic symptoms of ADD-- inattentiveness at school/home, unable to stay on task, retention, trouble following directions, etc.  He does not have the hyperactivity that his brother has-so I guess that's one thing in my favor.  I know because they are twins there is a higher likelihood that he has it also.  I have spent the better part of my afternoon trying to find a new child psychiatrist to evaluate him and pick up the care of his twin as well since our last psychiatrist has left the area.  If anyone reading this is located in the Pittsburgh (PA) area and has any suggestions for me it would be greatly appreciated.

I am very interested in all of your stories and postings, and consider this a new lifeline for me.  Thanks for any and all input, encouragement you can provide to me.
