Does ANYONE know anything about Wellbutrin and ADHD?  I can hardly find any research on it.
HI!!

All I know about it is that my husband has been taking it for 2 years now.  He needs it for antidepressants and ADD. Works great! Especially since its just one pill a day (XL) and not a mix of alot of other meds.

But don't have any research info.  Just personal experiance.

Be sure and ask your doctor about over the counter cold or flu medications you may need to take just to be sure.

cynthiatweedle,

    She was asking about Wellbutrin.

It's an antidepressant.... not a cold remedy.

And flu vaccinations still contain MERCURY .

Does ANYONE know anything about Wellbutrin and ADHD?  I can hardly find any research on it.

Wellbutrin is an antidepressant that recently got the FDA's highest "award"... a "BLACK BOX WARNING"

This warning extends to all SSRI and SNRI antidepressants and it relates to the FACT THAT THESE "MEDS" INCREASE SUICIDAL THOUGHTS IN CHILDREN.

The warning in Canada, Britain and Australia extends to include adults too.

For more info on Wellbutrin (Zyban) please go to www.drugawareness.org  and click on "experiences".  There's a few Wellbutrin stories there.

Reality also was awarded the black box award. We stuff it into a box, and ship him off.

 seriously,

wellbutrin is all over the net. SO I don't know why you can't find anything.

Unless your posting for a reply...

remedyfind.com has an excellent research paper on it.

I use www.remedyfind.com for about all of my medications.

it is not biased and gives others the chance to give a word on it..

although I am sure all the ANTI'S will flock there and post bullsh*t reviews. I better warn the webmaster...oh , I already did, good for me...

bugz,

She wants to know why it is linked with ADHD meds.

I suspect the doctors prescribe it with some of the stimulant meds here to ease any potential anxiety. It is the mildest of the dangerous antidepressants so perhaps with the new warning on them, the doctors feel safest with prescribing Wellbutrin.

I also suspect that the warning on a/ds is getting the doctors to prescribe antipsychotics like Risperdal to children.  It's not included in the a/ds warnings.

reality38667.7771527778how do you know this? are you her?

I see no mention in her post...

 oh well bugzappers38667.7769907407

As I posted on the parents' forum, it is an antidepressant in the SNRI family that is used for the inattention and irritability caused by ADHD when stimulants fail or cause too many side effects.

I do know that wellbrutrin IS a drug that is thought to be helpful for ADHD.  I tried it but it was not for me.  Ask your doctor.  I doubt you will find solid advice in here.  It seems this forum has been reduced to a fight between anti and pro med people.  You can never get helpful advise from extremest.
