HELP- Im Moving House in One Week!!!! | ADHD Information

Wow - how to beat procrastination! I do think there's been a few million books written on that one!  It's tough for sure.

Firstly - when moving you should probably pack up the TV and computer with about 2 days to spare (unless you need it for kids and work).

You could do the "huck finn" thing - convince a few friends to come over the last few days and for beer, food whatever have a "moving out party".  I see a lot of people do that - lots of guys will do that to get free stuff.

Since you are one of two adults there and it's important to move out on time I assume - can your spouse take an official leave from work for a day or two to help with the bigger stuff? Just a thought - no reason you should have to go the whole thing alone!

Good luck - and try the party I see it work all the time!

Thanks Glen, I've ran it past a few friends and the "PARTY LIST" is growing by the minute

We Australian's like any reason for a drink and B.B.Q.

Thanks for the suggestion has eased my anxiety to no end!!!

I'm glad!! I myself have done this (on a smaller scale).  People won't do this always for "please? as a friend?" - but a couple of dollars of cheap beer, hot dogs and snacks - you have it done for what could cost a bundle by a union crew.

Good on ya!!

Let me know how it goes.  Remember - don't give anything to the boys until the majority of work is done - or they won't do it!! Very key to this!! Believe me - really!

Ok got it, no booze til the jobs done. We're coming into summer here so the boys would be smashed by lunchtime otherwise actually so would the girls

Here's my problem. I'm due to move house in one week and just cannot seem to get it together.

It start packing one room then get sidetracked and move to another room where I'll start sorting through in there, then I'll find a folder of writing I did how ever long ago and then loose the whole day reading through my pages and pages of ideas, stories, philosophies ect.

At this rate I'll never get it done. My husband only gets one day off a week and gets home late at night so he doesn't have much time to help and my three year old unpacks as quickly as I pack

Besides the packing I have all he other daily stuff like cooking, cleaning which I have a hard time doing under normal circumstances!!!!

I've tried writing a short list for each day but I put more effort into writing the list than I do in completing the list of chores the next day (I love lists)

Any ideas, stratagies anything?????
