August 6 I am having a cardiac ablation done to correct my arrythmia. Only then can I go back on ADD medicaion. Wish me luck, let's hope this works.

Good luck cheek!

Cheeky - I've already said a few prayers for you!  And I will continue to say more!

Please, as soon as you get a chance after the surgery, please let us know how you are doing!  I totally realize that may not be for a few days afterwards, but I'm so impatient about things I want to know as soon as possible!

Can I be so nosey to ask what the surgery involves?  Is that where they shock your heart back into rhythm?  FWIW, I've know 3 people who have had that done with great success.  And I've never heard of anyone not having success with it.

Best wishes for you Cheekydeeky, hope that this turns out for the best for you so you can get back to using the medication for the best results.Hi Cheeky, good luck and I'll be praying for you.Cheeky,  I'll be praying for you also.  Hope everything goes well!  -Gettingagrip-

Well it should nearly be done soon - best of luck and I will say a prayer for you.

Dear God,

We love our CheekyDeeky, She really is quite cheeky

Please send her your love, from high up above

and bring her back to us a little less creaky

Hi Rae! Thanks for the prayer. Did you read my update? Everything was successful and I've been home since the 6. I got to go home the same day!

Thanks again everyone!

cheeky i will be thinking of you & praying also.

Well, got about six more days until it's done. I will let you all know what happens, probably on August 8 or 9, when I'm a little more recovered.

Reminder for everyone to pray for cheeky!

Lord, guide the hands and minds of everyone who is involved in cheeky's surgery and care so that everything goes smoothly and quickly. Keep all instruments working efficiently and let her recovery be rapid and total. Let there be no pain. Thank You Lord! In Jesus' name, amen.

 Amen

On my prayer list also.

Let us know how it was as soon as feel like getting back online.

Good luck with your procedure!  I looked up what you were having and it looks like it's an outpatient procedure and has a high success rate! (I bet they use some good sedation so that you won't remember a thing!) from what I understand, it looks like a root canal may have some greater risks than this procedure!

I'll be praying for you too!!!!!

Kimo (and others),

What happens during cardiac ablation is that I will be conscious (but sedated) while they run a catheter up my vein into my heart. The catheter has electrodes on it. They run small currents to test my arrythmia's origin. When they find the origin they use radio frequency to scar the tissue causing the ablation and correcting the arrythmia. I've been promised that this isn't painful, just a little uncomfortable.

That's what I'll be going through.

Cheeky

Oh Cheeky,  you are in my prayers! Barb
