my biz year is winfding down my doc offered me strattera,
told him no, (he offererd since i mentioned it a few months ago) i love the concerta & it (& I) work well together.
he said he doesnt blame me & wrote a few months supply for me (dont abuse, yes i even trust myself)
we discussed stratera for a little bit, his feelings,
he calls it an anti-anxiety med, anti-anxiety for docs scared of stims. hahaha thoought that was funny.
i choose to go to a very private doc not a clinic, where he spends good time w/ me and trusts me, i trust him too. so staying on stims.
thought his take a stratera is funny
later
yea concerta doesnt include a spell checkYou can take Strattera and stimulants together; it's not necessarily one or the other.I'm on Strattera. And I love it. I'm a pilot (private) and flying is somewhat central to my self image. So taking a non-stim was important. There are a few side effects that I'm not crazy about (flash of nausea about an hour or so after I take my dose, cotton mouth) but they are all manageable. The worst thing about it is that it's real expensive. I joked with my psych at the last visit that I may end up having to take quarterly trips to the Mexican border just to get my meds.
If the stims weren't so on the federalies radar (FAA) I'd switch.
