~Finally~Well, my dd started on Adderal XR yesterday and tonight I got a really positive remark from her. I was praising her for eating her lunch so nicely even though it was not her preference... Anyways, she says to me, "Mom, when I was eating before I said to myself should I not listen to mom, or should I... and I decided to listen to you!" OMG I almost cried! She has been wonderful the past two days and the side effects are not near as what she had when she was on Ritalin. Anyways, just thought I'd share my good news! Wonderful!! That's exactly what it's like too - the "chatter" in the ADHD head is overwhelming without help. She is young enough to learn the right ways to deal with life's anxious moments - and with a wonderful mom like you - it's clear sailing!! Do make sure she gets behavioral therapy too - it makes the world of difference as she now has to learn to do when the tough questions come up. I'm happy for your whole family!!!
