Sarah, there is alot of info out there proclaiming that many famous and sucessful people have ADHD........Go to www.google.com and type in "Famous people with ADHD." I would imagine that ADD/ADHD can hold you back in some areas, but it can also rocket you towards your dreams. You are going to need to work on managing the negative parts and utilizing the possitive ones. Let me know if this helps....

as for adhd holding you back- i wouldn't know (or think) i was a f**k-up if it weren't for this overly structured world we've been born into. even a 100 yrs. ago there was not this much structure and demands put on us. no giant checklist of qualities and characteristics to be graded on.

I was also referring to her excellent acting skills and the fact she got behind the camera to produce. She is a lovely person and full of energy.

Having said that I do love SATC, her Carrie character and her sense of style. Good for her for all the directing, new fragrance etc - I wish her all the success.
seeker - I wouldn't idolize buddha. He was a genuine gold-plated dickhead. He dumped his family and denied his eldest son in his "search" for enlightenment. What good is self-discovery without love and family? When I read that - I realized he was just the Jerry Falwell of his time - a shyster and a flim-flam man. Very bad. Ghandi did it too - denied love to wife and family in his later years. Again - what good is self-discovery without real love? Sad.I also really love Jim Morrison and the guys from Pink Floyd. I think rock artists are my idols because they have taken things we all deal with in everyday life and turn them into melodies that can stick with us. Even some of the mental maladies that haunt us in our experiences throughout life with people and situations
I can truly say as a teenager growing up that these groups gave me a way out of the grueling day to day struggle with my weaknesses and opened my mind to see there is a world the cannot be seen by some and understand I can enter therein. Wow, what did I just say?

Often, it is not neccessarily 'seem to think they deserve' but rather 'lust over'. Guys will often desire chicks who they know are out of their league.
I know I always have.
