I've taken Celexa, Paxil and Wellbutrin (sp) separately, each in about 10-20mg doses, in the past 3-4 years. I've been told by both my therapist and psychiatrist that it is common to give anti-depressants/anxiety medications in an attempt to reduce symptoms of ADHD, and then try stimulant medication. I believe the reason for this is the 'chicken or the egg', is ADHD causing symptoms of depression/anxiety, or are depression/anxiety causing symptoms of ADHD. Anyway, each had been somewhat effective, but I really didn’t like any of them especially the really bad side-effects while tapering off of Paxil. They just didn’t do much for me, Wellburtin helped a little but not enough, which has been reported to alleviate symptoms of ADHD for some. Its mentioned in ‘Delivered from Distraction’, written by 2 dr’s who both have AD/HD
