New here, looking for some help.
Been diag w/ADHD for couple of years now, on/off meds due to financial concerns/side effects. Need direction/advice for when I am able to get insurance & a local doc.

Not really to be smart or anything but that would be your best bet. You can also find psychologist that are specialized in diagnosing and treating ADD/ADHD. Try this link. This is the link that I used to find my psychologist that diagnosed. He had ADD himself so he knew how to diagnose.

The companies who make the meds have plans for free and low cost meds for those who can't afford them. You don't have to be stone broke to qualify either.
www.bridgestoaccess.com is one. It is associated with Glaxo Smith Kline. I think you can contact the maker of any med prescribed and they will tell you what steps to take. You could also do a google search for free med programs. There are some out there that look like they will help you with any med. I haven't personally used one though, so I can only tell you that it appears to be the case.
