boondog,
Once you become aware of it, it's easier to change it. Good for you to try to improve your social skills. Watching yourself on a video sounds like the kind of thing they might do in behavior therapy.
Keep in mind though that other people are proabably less aware of it than you are! And some of the behavior you can't help, like being distracted by jewelry. Don't put yourself down, it doesn't help you. Acknowledge it and try to change what you can, accept what you can't.
The Restless Cheekydeeky
I watched myself (on video tape) interacting with a group.
I noticed my body language is really annoying! PLUS: I don't notice other people's body language
I don't make Eye contact I don't watch other people's body language I speak without making sure I have people's eye contact I have a wandering eye. Jewelry, clothing anything makes me hyperfocus on it and people get uncomfortable I don't sit stillI think my body language is hurting me socially and at work.
I wondered, is there any other ADD body language that turns people off?
Is there a resource for ADHD body language dos and don'ts?
Anyone notice this?
