are you sick of me yet?
LOL, don't answer that , it's not my question.
But, is anyone else sensitive to noises and light. Bright lights and sounds drive me crazy. It makes me feel like I want to put my hand over my ears and scream.
Loud sounds always do that to me, now... as far as lights, in public settings they don't bother me AS MUCH as at home. I can't STAND having bright lights on at home. And the lighting has to be JUST RIGHT when I'm on the computer, watching tv, reading..... ok, pretty much all the time at home oh, and in my office at work.
Is this part of ADHD?
Oh..... and please FORGIVE me if I've already asked this in one topic or
another.
I've posted so many questions regarding issues going on with me since I was diagnosed last week that I may be repeating questions already covered by you all.
You guys are wonderful and I appreciate all your kindess and help.
We had quite a lengthy thread discussing this a couple of months ago.
If I remember right, both bother most of us. Some can't stand bright lights, and others like myself can't stand dim lights.
As far as sounds go, I think most of us didn't like them, although some loved very loud music. I can't stand loud noises or a lot of unrelated noises (and there is a lot of music that sounds that way to me for some reason).
I am brand new to this, i was just diagnosed last week. I am pretty sensitive to loud noises, like when my husband and 4 yr old play, good god, sometimes as much as i enjoy seeing it, i have to go upstairs becasue of the noise, and when the kids, ( i have 3 plus due home day care) go up and down the basement stairs that are uncarpeted, it sounds like a bunch of elephants running up and down them, as well as when my son jumps off the furniture, granted nobody like these noises etc. but they really bug me, i have always been that way, but this past week since i am in withdrawal from Paxxil, i am noticing it more.

i like loud music, when i want it loud.
other than that, loudness hurts me, and makes me really testy.
i'm very sensitive to bright lighting. flashes, and glaring light feel like my brain is getting shredded.
any peripheral flashes, movements, are highly distracting, and i sometimes get very worked-up , tense, over these kinds of stimuli. usually when i need to concentrate or try to read.
Maybe their Vampires
but they also help with the sun.
Don't worry, Goob, any question I think is a good question as long as you need help!
yep- the mall and shopping centers.
i start to get a little vertigo-ish at many stores, and it's their intention to disorient you by sensory overload. all those mirrors and little lights. the paths that lead in circles. i do like the womannequins with the pointy nipples though.
i will avoid vegas for the same reason. the lights and such, not the nipples.
i HATE loud noises, if someonr is banging a hammer i actualy close my eyes and cringe, i try not to but i cant help it. it does get in the way because me and my BF are often in the garage working on motobikes and evin if im the one banging the hammer i still have the same reaction.

i hate lights too, it's got to be just right but noises are worse
