You can check out the book called Stopping ADHD by O'Dell.  It claims that ADD and ADHD is caused by a refex in our bodies that sould have been matured as a baby but isn't if you didn't crawl enough, hence the crawling exercises.

I know I didn't crawl as a baby because I had casts on my legs because my toes turned in.

I have been doing the exercises from the book and I have seen great improvement in my ADD sumptoms.   You can check out the details in the posts in the parent thread and the alternative thread that have the word "crawling" in it.

It sure has worked for me.

I think I did crawl, but not for long though. I climbed really well apparantly

i'd have to check with my mum, but i think i remember hearing that i crawled my way into lots of trouble.

tipped over the christmas tree before i could even walk.

I used to drive my exgf CRAZY by constantly checking my watch - as if I had somewhere to go.  I didn't - just a knee-jerk reaction to having a watch.

Now I am not allowed to have a watch at work - so I don't look.  Simple solution.  I don't wear it away from work anymore and it's so relaxing! No more watching - just asking from time to time if not near a watch/clock.  Very easy to let go of.

I was never a clock watcher, more of a "oh my word! it can't possibly be that late" type of gal.

But now, I keep a good eye on the clock.  I'm a changed individual with my crawling exercises.  I don't feel like I am as ADD at all now.

Who needs a clock? I'm either awake, or asleep. Even the sun don't work any more...

the clock is a nefarious device.

when you look at it, it moves very slowly and with regularity.

but turn away for a few minutes, and it speeds ahead mercilessly.

5 minutes of time while watching the clock is roughly equal to 2-1/2 hrs of time spent not looking at it.

I've never held on to a watch for longer than a day or two. So, more like perpetual time asker. Can't wear anything around my wrists (or fingers) without wanting to take it off. The longest I've ever worn a watch was for a medical study for insomnia. It didn't tell time. It was just a little black square with a chip of sorts in it. Then I got too lazy to give it back after a month of making sure to wear it and not get it wet.

The worst is when someone flashes their watch for a second or two and for whatever reason (ashamed at not knowing how to tell time well due to never telling time that's not digital?) you kinda nod and still have no clue.

Hey! Garage!
Pale, Kid! Ya Lookin'!
(long time no C)
Was it U, or me?
How's the big Chi treatin' ya?
Life sucks on this side.
But then it gets better...

At first I thought you said, are you a watch clocker.. I never clock a watch, thats probably why I run outa time all the time.

Just out of interest, why doesnt the sun work anymore?

I wish I was a clock watcher, maybe then I'd be on time

And what are these crawling exercises I keep hearing about?

OOOH!!! Crawling exercisesDoes it involve alcohol. Been there before, but can't seem to remember it!!. What I can remember , shouldn't be posted. If my pdoc doesent "get a grip", i'm back to books to straighten my life out, but theyre limited in success.

I know how to the crawling that involves alcohol

Its good for my hyperactive side!!!!!!!!!

Slows me right down.

Slows me down to a crawl too, but just doesen't seem to help memory one bit. But I usually feel better not remembering crawling!
